I won't be retiring for another 3-5 years. Is it too early for me to start Life Transition Coaching?

No, it is not too early - in fact, that is a very good time to begin taking stock, determining possible directions and planning for your preferred future to ensure a smoother transition period.

I have no idea what I want to do next. How will the Transitions Workshop help me get started?

The exercises and coaching during the workshop/seminar will assist you in clarifying what would be meaningful and fulfilling for you. The answer is within you, and the workshop provides the environment to allow the answer to "bubble up".

I know what I would like for the next phase of my life but I don't think it's possible.

During coaching, time is spent on uncovering the limiting beliefs that stop you from moving forward in the direction of your dreams. New beliefs are created that empower you to move forward.

I retired a few years ago. Is it too late for Life Transition Coaching?

No. Life is a series of transitions. It is never 'too late' to assess and make plans for a preferred future that includes a sense of meaning and purpose.

I've set goals before but don't follow through with the action. Why will this time be any different?

The goals developed with coaching are an expression of the vision you create and, as a result you will feel inspired to take action to achieve them.

I can't visualize a new chapter of my life that doesn't seem a repeat of my past.

Coaching will assist in uncovering what is most important to you and encourage you to consider and step into new possibilities for your life.

When I think of trying to create a new phase for my life, I start feeling overwhelmed. I don't know how to begin.

Life Transition Coaching is a starting point, a common sense approach and a structure for creating a preferred future. You will be inspired to take steps to make it happen.

Why would I need Life Transition Coaching? I have all kinds of activities planned for my retirement.

When performing tasks and duties in the workplace, you have a distinct sense of value and purpose. When you stop working, one of the most significant challenges is the loss of identity. Tackling a lengthy 'to do' list will keep you busy, but the 'busy work' may not necessarily be fulfilling.

Is Life Transition Coaching just for people retiring?

No, it is useful for anyone who is experiencing any type of life transition. i.e. career transition, relocating, re-entering the workforce, ending a relationship, empty nesters.

What is "Third Age"?

"Third Age" (roughly age 50 to 80) is The Age of Fulfillment. With our roles in our family changing and a shifting career focus, we can look within to find what gives us purpose and passion.

If "Third Age" is the Age of Fulfillment, what are the other "Ages"?

First Age is The Age of Preparation. We develop the skills and knowledge needed to support the maturity and independence that Second Age requires. Second Age is The Age of Achievement. We earn a place in the adult world of responsibility and seek security and status in the world. Fourth Age is The Age of Completion. The last stage of life on earth allows us to prepare fully for whatever we believe comes next. Growing to our full potential in Third Age allows us to enter fully into this completion.
